| There is a very strong indication that "green jobs" will become a major employment component in the next few years. Here at Gordon Parks we hope to prepare our students for these importent and exciting careers. We have a unique and vital role to play as we seize the opportunities of a new green economy.
A study by the Renewable Energy Policy Project published last fall found that 364 companies in Ramsey and Hennepin Counties of Minnesota could benefit from 8,594 new green manufacturing jobs, including 3,749 from wind turbine manufacturing and 2,830 from solar manufacturing. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
