| Hello! My name is Patrick Her and I am thrilled to be a counselor working at Gordon Parks High School and Creative Arts High School. This is my third year working with students in the alternative school setting. I have worked in the St. Paul School District as a school counselor for the last twelve years.
I graduated with both under graduate and graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Prior to becoming a school counselor in Saint Paul Public Schools, I had the opportunity to work for the Department of Multi-Cultural Service as an intern advisor for UW-Platteville for two years.
My main reason for becoming a counselor is that I could be a bridge between our students and the huge variety of college choices. My goal is to help students find the college that best fit their career goals and personalities, so they can successfully earn a degree or diploma and become productive citizens.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing the six pipes instrument, hunting and being outdoors with friends and family.
